We take this business very seriously. We do not sell to pet stores or any we believe have any connection to brokers or puppy mills. We have turned people down who wanted a puppy because we did not feel comfortable that they would care of the puppy responsibly. All of my little fur people are family members , and they are treated as such. All puppies and pregnant females are fed with a carefully controlled diet. They are fat and happy. When my puppies leave, I send a portion of high quality food with one of the high quality prepared foods such as Royal Canin, Diamond Small Puppy Bites, Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, or any natural food. I do not support the feeding of Purina Puppy Chow. It has caused serious stomach distess in several puppies. This is a "forever" relationship. Give these babies the same respect regarding love and food given to family members.
Terms of Sale:
The cost of each puppy is based on the quality, sex, size, color and temperament (as much as you can tell with a baby). Prices range from $350 - $2000...We sell our puppies as pets only. No doubt many would be show quality, but pets are our business. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the size the puppy will become. No one can tell what size our children will be--the same is true for animals. We can give our best "guesstimate" based on long experience, but it is still a guess.
We require a $200 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to hold your puppy in the form of a check (which will be cashed), or MasterCard/Visa (plus 3% fee), or bank check. We must receive your deposit within 4 days of placing the puppy in the "Sale Pending" category. If we do not receive a deposit within that time constraint, the puppy will return to the "Available" section. I will send you pictures, email you, talk to you by phone, (I'm not good at writing letters; I find it terribly laborious.). All of those I am happy to do so you can be completely satisfied with my credibility as a breeder. Because of the level of assurance and the time spent, I will not refund any deposits or payments simply because you have changed your mind. You have made a good faith committment to buy one of my precious ones. I take it very seriously. Upon receipt of your deposit, your puppy is sold. I will not give any indication that the puppy is available to other customers. Please feel free to make payments on the puppy until you are ready to take him/her home. The balance is due by the time the pupppy is 6-7 weeks old so we can arrange his/her departure (see shipping in another section). We must receive the balance before delivery. If your puppy is not picked up or delivered or other arrangements made by the age of 8 weeks (longer at breeder discretion for very small puppies), you will be asked to pay $25 a week for boarding to cover any additional food, vaccines, and vet care. In addition a personal referral in the form of a phone number for your veterinarian, or if this will be your only dog, a phone number from someone for character reference.
Health Certificate, Vaccines, Deworming, etc.
Puppies shipped or delivered will come with a health certificate from my veterinarian. You will have 7 days from the time puppy is received to have it vet checked. If the vet finds a serious problem, you must let me know immediately so that proper arrangements can be made. Please do not jeopardize the puppy's health by delaying contact or waiting to hear from me. All vaccination and health records will be given to you or sent as appropriate. Our puppies will be, to the best of my knowledge, in good health with up-to-date shots and worming when they leave our home. They have experienced only a clean, loving environment. Should your puppy be found with a life-threatening genetic defect, within the 6 month guarantee period, you must contact us immediately by mail with a veterinarian's report. When a vet of our choosing examines the puppy and confirms the defect, we will replace your puppy with one of the same gender and equal value. In this case, we will take the original puppy back unless other arrangements are made at our discretion. No full or partial refunds will be given. If at any time you are unable or unwilling to keep the dog, please contact me as I will make arrangements to find it a home or keep it. Usually I cannot afford to buy the dog back, but if that were to be possible, I would make you an offer. Whatever the disposition, the dog's well being has priority.
Our puppies receive their 1st shots at 7 weeks. We currently use DA2PPV. The 2nd shot occurs 3 weeks later. Usually the puppies are in their new homes before the 2nd and 3rd. Routine deworming begins at 2 weeks of age then worming every 2 weeks thereafter, so they will have been wormed about 4 times.
Shipping:
Personal delivery is always our choice, but we will ship with Continental (safepets) for $250 fee or with American for a $300 fee. Usually we will ship from Colorado Springs, but a Denver departure is sometimes necessary. If I ship your puppy, he will have a new crate, bedding, a bear blanket, a tiny toy, and food and water. Attached to his kennel will be the health certificate and extra food. You must have Nutrical with you to give him a jump start. Usually your puppy will arrive at the cargo department. Be sure you have all information with you at the time of arrival, e.g. ID. I will communicate with you several times once the puppy is on his way.
Personal delivery: We will deliver your puppy by air to your nearest airport or drive to your home with all of the above items. We can then provide any additional info you might need. Either of those services will be charged on an individual basis.
