Testimonials from families with new additions

We brought home little Lacie Pualei about a year and a half ago.(Taku and Mickey's little girl). She has the cutest personality and and such a sweet face, that we had to share an updated photo.  She's such a cutie pie that someone actually offered us money for her on a recent outing.  Of course, the answer was "no", but we've given her your info, so she can get her own ball of fluff.  Thanks for doing what you do, so we and others can enjoy these special balls of fluffiness.

Our puppy is doing well and has adjusted to his new home. We named him Marley. The picture is with his “brother” Tug. They have been having a good time chasing each other and Marley loves being outside running in the grass and picking up twigs. I took him to the vet last week and he had only good things to say, so that it good news!

Thanks again,

Heather Pratt

The kids are having a wonderful time with Max. He loves playing in our backyard with Frisbees and balls. He is still getting the hang of the whole housetraining process with some days being better than others. Overall though, he is doing great. We have worked into a nice rhythm with him and can’t imagine our home without him now. Thanks for helping us find such a great puppy. Best regards, The Ralphs

Cocoapelli has really found a great home. She’s just doted on: and as a result, has had lots of training time. Not only does she retrieve, she’ll retrieve the specific toy you are asking for! And the big snow storm we had this winter – that was just another opportunity for fun.

Cookie was the tiniest puppy in three litters. She was a delicate little thing that was more than able to hold her own with the larger pups! She was adopted by a family with three little girls (all of whom are going to cause dad to have a lot of gray hairs when they start dating!) I got a lot of pictures, but I thought this one did the most justice to her. The one with her pink collar, pink food dish, pink blanket, pink …. was a close runner up!

Our boys are doing well. They are bigger than we thought they would be. Brody (chocolate) is about 23 lbs and Baily (buff) is about 30 lbs. Maybe we feed them too much! We have taken them through basic training and they both graduated, but sometimes I wondered whether they would -they are inseparable and wouldn't leave each other alone during class. But they are much better now and we love them! Alan and Cheryl”

Deb’s Note: 30 lbs is the largest I’ve heard of any of the cockapoos getting to. Amazing what can pop out of a genetic background!

It was so nice to get a Christmas card from you and an update on the kennel. We came up last January to see the “buff colored” puppy you had….fell in love with him, we named him Cooper….symbolic of Coupeville. Tony and I had met when we both worked for …. and the fragrance we had launched when I started with the company back then, was Tresor. Needless to say, when Tony found your kennel on-line….it was called D’Tresor…and it was on Whidbey Island (the spot we’d like to retire)….it was fate! And, Cooper stood apart from all the other pups, because of his coloring. We wouldn’t trade him for the world! Donna and Tony

We know who gets all the treats!!!!

I’ve had this picture for 2 Christmas’s now! Collette and Marty were kind enough to send me a picture in a Christmas card. I was forever taking the picture out to show people what Abbie looked like.

Only 5 more minutes MOM...OH PLEASE Cant I take this one home??

Last August, I had a pile of puppies that were old enough to go out into the world. I would take them down to the Farmer’s Market and had a sign saying “Puppy Socialization 101.” Then I would let one or two children in with the puppies to play with them. This little girl refused to get out! She wouldn’t speak to me at all, but she wasn’t budging. Her parents tried everything and finally left her there for a little while longer while they ordered dinner from a vendor (they could see her of course). That’s the power of a puppy!

I'm telling you, just reset that box there, and replug in that cable! it will work

Porter is from a litter that unfortunately came down with Giardia. It’s a very nasty bug that hikers sometimes get. My guarantee covered the meds to treat the pups and I have several letters from folks saying they were pleased with my professionalism and responsiveness. Needless to say, Porter has had a lot of attention. He’s living the highlife with newlyweds.

Mandy is doing great! We couldn't have found a better girl. She is wonderful with the kids and nobody argues about taking her outside for walks. She gets lots and lots of pats and tummy rubbings everyday. We love her! Thank you so much for this beautiful girl. -Bridget

Rex is almost 1 and the most wonderful dog in the world. He is sweet, eager to please, well behaved, and he LOVES everybody. He was very easy to potty train - he has been totally trained since just after
Christmas [~ 6 mos.]. The best thing about Rex is how
good he is with children. We have a 2.5 year old daughter and he could not be more tolerant, gentle, and kind towards her. He is also this way with all
other children and adults alike. Rex truly is
wonderful and we could not have asked for a better
family pet. The Dickey Family

Harley (left) and Annie (right) have a new home up on Orcas Island. Harley is from my kennel and Annie is from Sunnyside Acres. She's a couple weeks younger, but that doesn't phase her one bit - she's a female after all. Harley is "usually" a real gentlemen, but
occasionally he does get a bit insistent. Tug-o-war
is a favorite game. It just goes to show - two dogs
keep each other occupied, and a simple rope toy can
provide hours of fun (besides keeping the teeth
cleaned).
Adults now, but still puppy-ish. They’re a joy to Dave and Mari and I get lots of updates and pictures! Notice the poodle-feet. You might want your groomer to do the same in the winter time when they bring in lots of mud!

You decide whose cuter!!!!!

I can always tell when someone is going to make a really good family for a pup - they ask LOTS of questions and keep me updated. This picture is of Brett and his cockapoo Max. Mom wrote and told me:

"He is really bonding with all of us, but he does really love Brett - just as I hoped. Just today Brett fell off of the swing set and cried. Max was at the other end of the backyard and came running as fast as he could and licked him. And I noticed Brett said between tears "thanks Max". It was pretty sweet."

SHHHHHHH!

I looked up from breakfast because the dogs were making a racket. This little guy was walking TOWARDS the kennels until the noise sent him packing. I went out to check it out and found him bedded down right next to a currently unused run. No walks for the dogs! - at least until mama comes and takes him away.

Name that rosta dog!

Freda and Buddy

Happy Freda and Buddy with their owner Margie

Freda adopted Margie one day and about a year later, Buddy did too. They found life very comfortable on Margie's couch, her bed, her entire life in fact. They help with the gardening and chase the birds from the flowers. They also take long walks on the old Pheasant Farm every morning. Life is good.

Lets Take Deb and Marge on a walk!

"The Walk"

The walk is done every morning, weather and work permitting, out on the old pheasant farm. My 14 dogs and Margie's 3 are sometimes joined by helpers. You can see Linda off in the fog with another dog. I only have 4 dogs I must keep on a leash - they're very birdy. The rest do very well with voice control. The dogs love it and I get a little extra (much needed) exercise.

Cant you tell we love to pose for the camera

Lucky

Update on Lucky and Bridget!!! We have relocated to some very tiny town in Oregon, and have recently found a girl-friend for Lucky!!! Hopefully the two will settle down and begin a family of their own, but for the time being the two love driving us absolutely bonkers wondering our 2acres, chasing our children on their motorcycles and keeping Bridget's feet warm. Although Cara did not come from D'tresors, Lucky wouldn't have found her without Deb, and for that we cant tell just how grateful he truly is. We do know he refuses to go outside if Cara isn't with him, and he can often be found sharing his kennel with her!!! But he draws the line at giving up his t-bones....

Lacy

Laci is a chocolate female cockapoo out of Sage by Mickey. She's just about 6 months old. Jackie's comments: I think she's about 12 lbs right now. She's just delightful and Scruffy loves her to death. Sure you can put her picture on your web site, I wouldn't want others deprived of seeing the cutest puppy in the world! I just love her, she's so sweet and smart. She's doing very well, she likes cats and toys, ah heck, she likes everyone.

Deb gets some really cute pictures too!

"Who says I can't play with my food? Whatcha going to do about it!? Hah!!!"
