Cockapoos

A first generation Cockapoo is a mix of a pure breed Cocker Spaniel and Miniature Poodle. Cockapoo’s can come in a variety of sizes depending on the size of the parents. In our case all of our Cockapoos are between 20-25 lbs. This breed can also come in a variety of colors such as black, blonde, black and tan, Party color and others.

In general the Cockapoo results in the best traits of both breeds a smoother softer coat than that of a poodle, but no shedding , "doggy smell" or dander like that of the Cocker Spaniel.

Cockapoos tails are docked as it is unprofessional not to and is a characteristic of the breed. Their temperament is loving, with the laid back attitude of the Cocker quieting the sometimes high strung poodle. They are very intelligent and alert, yet have a sweet nature, patient disposition and are famous for being wonderfully affectionate. Overall the cross breeding results in "hybrid vigor", where the best qualities of each breed are highlighted in the offspring. Cockapoos are of sturdy build, are eager to please and easy to train and with the right sense of direction, can develop intelligent, almost human like qualities.

Cockapoos adapt to their surrounds quite quickly and although they do not require a lot of physical exercise can keep up with almost any lifestyle.

In this breed You have a great mid sized, non shedding, non allergenic pet that likes playing fetch, swimming, trips in the car, and long walks.
