Hugh and Toby ( Shih-Poo )

I was excited, but cautious, to drive all the way from Toronto to see the puppies. I wanted one badly but I was concerned about the breeder and the conditions I might find the dogs in. As it turned out I had nothing to worry about. Mary-Lyn met us at the door of her beautiful house and showed us into the “kennel,” a wonderfully clean room off the kitchen. The puppies were in clean pens with wood shavings and were all spotless, sociable, and adorable. No puppy mill here. Our questions were answered, we were free to handle the puppies and look them over carefull, the selection was made, and we were sent on our way with a wonderful addition to our family, a health record from the vet, food, and vitamins to start us off. The puppy’s sire and dam were there for us to see, we were given a guarantee of good health, Toby was well socialized, and at ten weeks was doing well with house training. Our puppy never even cried at night when he got to his new home. All in all, this was a very happy experience for us and I feel that I can call anytime to ask for advice or help from someone who cares and knows what’s best for her “babies” and clients. If you are looking for a little guy like ours, start by checking Mary-Lyn’s website or give her a call Your search will be over.

Sincerely,
Kathryn Cole

Shih-Poo DEBBIE

I contacted Mary-Lyn in April 2006. I wasn't sure what type of dog I wanted and she was very helpful in talking things through with me to be sure that I got the right dog for our family. I decided on a Shih-poo. We have four kids and a small house.Mary-Lyn is very polite and a good business woman. She is not the type of person who will tell you only what you want to hear just to sell you a puppy. She will answer any and all questions you have. All the paperwork is in order when you pick up your puppy. I purchased a Shih-poo puppy from Mary-Lyn's Dogs in May 2006. He was 8 weeks old. He was not housebroken, but he is now. Some people would expect a breeder to housetrain their puppies. That's a personal choice. I found MaryLyn to be professional and very caring of her animals. The condition of the kennels was spotless. The temperament of our dog is exceptional. Everyone says how well behaved he is, cute, etc. I suspect that is part training and part breeding.

My puppy is super smart and super sweet. He had nipping problems which we've been working very hard on and he's improving tremendously in that area. Remember nipping is normal for a puppy. He is SUPER eager to please and responds very well to praise. I've trained him entirely on praise alone. He is now crate trained and knows about 30 human words (sit, stay, let's go, OK, down, gentle, no bite, too hard, stay, come, walk, car ride, dog park, shake a paw, dance, leave it, no, water, peepee (on command), stop, to the side (of the road), on the grass, etc.)

I've socialized him at dog parks and with children. He's been exposed to uniformed people such as police and repair men. He's been well socialized with men. He goes off-leash at dog parks and is confident around all dogs - small and large.

All that being said, he's an AMAZING dog. He's got a sweet temperament and listens well. He's super smart and really tries hard to please. He responds very well to my instructions.

Sincerely,
Debbie

( Oreo ) Cockapoo

This is a picture of our new family member Oreo ( COCKAPOO ), on our family boat. He is a four month old lovable, cuddly and very smart little Cockapoo pup. The transition from the kennel to our home was unbelievably easy, thanks to the kindness and expertise of Mary-Lyn. He is adored by my three energetic young children, and I must admit adults too. We can't thank Mary-Lyn enough for her patience in answering all our questions, all the pictures she sent before we had Oreo and, most importantly, the excellent care she gave Oreo to start him off on the right track!

Take Care,
Suzy

( Zoe ) Shih-Poo

Hello,

I'm happy to provide this referral for Mary-Lyn's Dogs. We found Mary-Lyn on the BreedersClub.net website after searching for the right kind of puppy to complete our home. After viewing several websites and numerous pictures of different breeds and puppies, our children fell in love with one of the photos of her pups which was available. We called immediately. I was very happy with Mary-Lyn's pleasing and informative telephone manner right from the beginning. Dealing with breeders was a new experience for us as we had always rescued our previous animals from humane societies.

Every subsequent encounter with Mary-Lyn proved to be more comfortable and informative. I have to admit that we did experience some apprehensive thoughts and reservations over acquiring a puppy from someone we didn't know. These thoughts quickly disappeared after hearing from Mary-Lyn's references and after talking with their veterinary clinic in Bancroft. Mary-Lynn was very willing to provide any information she could as well as inviting us to the kennels if we chose to make the trip to Bancroft.

I am very happy to report that a few days later, we met Mary-Lyn in Belleville, and picked up our puppy as advertised. Zoe, our Shih-poo has adjusted well to our household and is a normal, happy, healthy puppy with a very pleasing disposition who loves to be cuddled.

I have recommended Mary-Lyn to friends and they too have also acquired a puppy from her and are equally as delighted. Zoe and Jessie (their pup) have even enjoyed a few play dates.

We could not be happier with how our purchase worked out and we would definitely contact Mary-Lyn in the future for another dog.

Sincerely,
Tracey St. John
Kingston, On.

( Sampson ) Malti-Poo

This is 6 month old Samson. He lives with our family in Nova Scotia. After many e-mails and a few phone calls, we purchased Sam from Mary-Lyn in September 2006. We were quite nervous about picking a pup through the internet, but are now so thrilled we did. Mary-Lyn was very kind and informative to us while making our decision.

Sam is an absolute joy to our family. He has an exceptionally great personality, he's super smart and obedient, and loves people. He is also wonderful with small children.

I would highly recommend Mary-Lyn's Dogs if you and your family are looking for a furry "designer dog" companion.

Sincerely,
Amanda Oickle

( Henry ) Shih-Bi ( Shih-Tzu and Bichon )

We recently purchased our cute little Shih-Bi from Mary-Lyn's Dogs. Our experience was great! From our initial inquiries over email, to our phone conversations, to meeting, Mary-Lyn was so friendly and very professional. We had a lot of questions, and she answered all of them patiently... We never felt rushed or silly for needing to ask her so many things! We took advantage of Mary-Lyn's delivery service too. She brought our puppy almost all the way to Toronto, which saved us a very long drive, and allowed us to get our pup on a Friday, giving us the whole weekend to love and get to know him before having to go back to work. Our little dog Henry has been wonderful thus far. He is sleeping by by desk right now and it is hard to resist picking him up to cuddle him! Thank you Mary-Lyn.

Sincerely, Adam & Cera

( Zoe and Oscar )

Both pups are Shih-Poos.

We discovered Mary-Lyn’s Dogs while doing research looking for a new puppy. We had recently lost our Shih-Poo due to illness. We asked lots of questions and Mary-Lyn was more than happy to answer all of them. We made the trip to Bancroft in May 2006 to pick up our new puppy and were amazed to see how immaculate the property housing the kennel was kept. We also saw the parents of the puppy we were purchasing. Zoë is very smart, quick to catch on, with a great personality, and was extremely easy to train. We re-visited the kennel in July as we were camping in the area. Mary-Lyn was more than happy to visit with us. As the summer of 2006 went on, we decided that we would get a second puppy to keep Zoë company. At the end of August we met with Mary-Lyn and picked up Oscar. Although Oscar’s training has taken longer, things couldn’t be better. He has a very curious nature, and is afraid of nothing!! The two dogs get along very well and love to go for walks and runs together.

We have recommended Mary-Lyn’s Dogs to anyone who asked where our pets came from. If you are searching for a puppy and see this website, this is a well run and established business. We highly recommend this breeder.

Sincerely,
The Field Family

( Taffy ) Lhasa-Poo

Chatting with Mary-Lyn about finding a puppy suitable for us, was easier than I could have ever imagined. One thing I have to say for sure, the temperament of our little Taffy pooh girl, is just as the website promised. She is the sweetest thing, and so adaptable to all of our 7 family members.
We highly recommend this breeder.

Sincerely,
Kim

( Squirt ) Cockapoo

Hi Mary Lyn,

Here it is the last week in April and Squirt will be a year old in another 2 weeks _ how time flies. Squirt is truly a joy, she is very playful, obedient and best of all she loves us. Her favorite passtime is retrieving a ball or toy, for as long as someone will throw, she is completely happy to keep bringing the toy back, she can keep it up until she is totally worn out. Then of course all she wants is to cuddle up and have a good sleep, as long as she is touching us her world is perfect. Following is a picture taken yesterday after a trip to the groomer.

Thank you again.
Frances Bayes.

( Misty ) Cockapoo

Hi,

We named her Misty, short for Mystère, a French lady with mysterious and alluring features. She was great on the 5 hour ride home. She has taken to us well, eats and drinks well, and loves to romp around in the yard. She is fantastic with our grandsons too.

I have a question. Was she housetrained at your place…she cries to go out, and has not had a single accident in the house so far. Either you trained her (in which case I thank you profusely) or she is a miracle pup.

Sincerely,
Jack

Emma

( Emma ) Cockapoo

Hi Mary_Lyn,

Emma continues to do really well, she is getting bigger, eats well, loves to play with everything and has only had a couple little pee "accidents" My boys and I made her homemade dog biscuits for puppies and she LOVES them!! We give her one if she pees outside or sits for us, she still sleeps in her crate which is good.

Thanks, will keep in touch, Tammy

PS_ I have forwarded your name and website onto 3 friends who adore Emma and are considering a puppy, I told them how great you were and Emma, being so sweet, speaks for herself!! Hopefully you'll hear from them and sell a few more pups! Take care! **

Sincerely,
Chuck , Tammy, Hayden and Hunter

( Samantha and Jake ) Cockapoo

Hi Mary_Lyn.
Thought you might be interested in seeing 2 of your puppies now that they are approaching 5 months of age. ( These were puppies from a litter you had born on April 12 sired by "Red" and "Rena" )Samantha is doing great and is continually on the go _ little miss into everything and not too concerned about being scolded for it either as the look in her eye suggests she knows it will give rise to a good chase and break any 2 minutes of boredom!!! ( In fact while I've been writing this she has once again taken out more of one of my houseplants!!) Jake is also a going concern but does seem to take his mischievous lead from Sam and is more concerned when she gets the two of them into trouble.. He is definitely the lazier of the two which suits my daughter ( his mother ) very well. They get to see each other quite often and genuinely enjoy each other's company. They truly are "best buds".

The pictures I've attached were taken recently. The one that makes Samantha look as if she has bleached spots on her was taken at a cottage this summer. The 'bleached' looking spots are actually just the rays of sun shining in the window where they both enjoyed a few minutes of sun each day. The other was taken at 'puppy school' where they both attended and actually have done very well _ they both graduated!! We plan to take them to one more session of classes to ensure they get it!!

We're enjoying them both immensely and have told numerous people where we got them. Everyone thinks they are both very cute! Once again thanks for all the pictures while they were growing before we 'adopted' them. Hope you enjoy the update pictures!

Sincerely,
Barb

Curly ( Cockapoo )

Mary Lyn:

Well, we just love Curly and am soooo glad that we got her. We have had so much fun with her since last Friday night when we picked her up. She is just adorable and she is really adjusting nicely. She isn't fussing through the night anymore and she is adjusting to the puppy pads quite nicely _ about 50% of the time anyway. She loves playing and napping with us a lot. She is kind of spoiled already, but who could help that. She loves playing with her toys and shaking them about. She has learned to jump from the couch to the table and she did a superman move today and flew off the table. She learned to walk stairs on Saturday, but cried because she couldn't get down. We are really happy with her.

Take care.

Sincerely,
Dawn Jordan

Cockapoo's ( Lambton and Chip )

Dear Marylyn,

We just wanted to take a moment to let you know how our babies are doing. We came from Michigan to pick them up after we could not resist their pictures over the internet! The black one is Chip and the blonde one is Lambton. They turned 1 year old on April 12, and they were in Walt Disney World with us on their birthday!

They are happy and healthy, and the absolute joy of our lives. They love to cuddle and Lambton sleeps like a human with his head on the pillow in between us! We had to get a bigger bed to accomodate us and the 2 babies!

They adore each other and don't ever like to be apart. The dog groomer even commented how they were so concerned about the other one when they couldn't see each other. They play together and snuggle together. We have such great memories of picking them up, we felt so good about getting them from your place. We were very impressed with how you cared for them.

Thank you again for such a wonderful experience and such healthy sweet boys- we love them with all our hearts.

Sincerely,
Kim, Andrew and Emily Ronnisch

Murphy

Hi Mary Lyn, I just wanted to send you some recent pictures of Murphy, the pup we boughtfrom you in January. We love him so much, he has become a part of ourfamily. He is sure big. He's almost 60 lbs now. These were taken about amonth ago.

Lhasa-Poo ( Sadie )

Sadie is an energetic, happy, and affectionate now 3 months old puppy. She is a quick learner and has adapted so well into our family.Mary-Lyn was excellent to deal with in that she kept us informed and knew exactly what we were looking for in a dog. She is very professional and it shows that this is not only a business for her but a passion that she has for her dogs. I would definitely recommend Mary-Lyn and her dogs to anyone that is looking for a new puppy.

Thanks,
Jen

Sammy (Cockapoo)

This is a picture of are new family member, Sammy. He is a sweet kind Cockapoo. He has fit in to are home very well. Everyone in my family loves him very much. He loves to cuddle with you and loves going to the park to play fetch. We thank Mary Lyn very much for giving us lots of very good information and for the time she put in for sending us lots of pictures and making him the wonderful dog he is now. Whenever we take Sammy out for a walk he always gets lots of attention from people. We have given Mary-Lyn’s name almost ten times to people who were very interested in Sammy. We thank you very much for all your guidance in our very first puppy.

Newman ( Shih-Bi )

We have been nothing but thrilled with our little "Newman" who is a Shih-Bi. We purchased him June of 2006. Right from the very beginning Mary-Lyn was great to deal with. We first discussed about getting a Schnoodle and she felt that perhaps the Shih-Bi might be better suited for our family. She was right! He has a great disposition, loves kids, very playful and will go to anyone. He's also very cuddling which we love! I'm sure you won't be disappointed with any dog Mary-Lyn provides you with!

Tina & Mike Barlow,
"Orangeville, Ontario"

Brady ( Cockapoo )

We simply love our puppy cockapoo, named Brady. We picked him up at the end of November 2007 and instantly adored him. He is exceptionally intelligent, playful and friendly with everyone. Eventhough there are allergies in our family, his truly non-shedding hair has not caused any reactions in our home. Shortly after we brought him home from Mary Lyn's, he was house trained and quickly ajusted to our family. Mary Lyn was wonderful and supportive during our phone calls before and after our adoption of Brady. Thank you so much again, Mary Lyn, for your help in finding the right puppy for our family.

Sincerely,
The Young Family
